I鈥檝e been teaching mathematics for over 30 years, and for the past 27 of those, I鈥檝e had the privilege of doing so here at Moorpark College. Whether it鈥檚 algebra, calculus, or statistics, I love helping students build confidence in math and see its connections to the world around them.
In addition to teaching, I serve as the faculty advisor for two student organizations: Circle K and the AAPI club. Being part of these communities allows me to support students in ways that go beyond the classroom鈥攖hrough service, leadership, and cultural engagement. I also enjoy advising students more broadly on their academic journey, especially when it comes to transfer plans, major decisions, or simply navigating college life.
When I鈥檓 not on campus, I enjoy spending time in my garden鈥攊t鈥檚 a great way to recharge and think about things from a different angle (sometimes even math problems!). I also love spending time with my family, especially when we get the chance to travel together. I鈥檓 a proud parent of two college students鈥攐ne currently at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and preparing to transfer to CSUN, and the other studying at UCLA鈥攕o education is a big part of both my professional and personal life.
